“To see the world as a whole, you must be on the moon.”
—I heard this quote while listening to late night classical on KPBS. It’ll stick with me for the rest of my life.

Recognizing and appreciating little pieces of glee scattered around our walking paths is very important. Recognizing glee pieces helps us understand life in the bigger picture. Because glee pieces are there and are a part of life. If we miss them, we have missed a part of life.
Lately I’ve been making an effort to find glee pieces. They are always in my vision, I just need to find them. Like I Spy. I want to catalog them.
My mind is forgetful and I’m only just beginning, so today’s list is short. But here’s what I have:
- sparrows taking a bath
- any small bird
- the smell of whole peaches and limes (not necessarily together)
- breeze
- someone smiling back (especially when your working)
- unexpected encounters with friends
